Good Afternoon Sumner Families,

I hope this message finds you all healthy, safe and well. As we all navigate this new way of learning and staying connected, I wanted to let you know about a website that has been developed by some of us SPS counselors. It is called Project HELLO. It is our way to help keep your children engaged for their social emotional growth.

SPS Elementary Counselors Project HELLO: Helping through Engagement with Love and Lessons Online - the purpose of which is to offer School Counseling curriculum to students via weekly counseling topics through electronic platforms. We created HELLO to stay connected and supportive of our students, families, and school communities during this crisis and beyond…

Please check it out! Look all around! Each week there will be character development lessons – with lessons and questions, a story time and of course a fun Friday!

This week’s lesson is all about self – care because of course… you are all number one!

There are also resources on the website for you to access. If you have any questions or need assistance navigating this site, please feel free to email me at

The website is -

Stay well, Ms. Thomas
